10 Best Oil-Free Moisturizers ...

By Jennifer

Oil-free moisturizers can be a god-send, especially if you have sensitive or acne-prone skin. You want hydration, but not a break-put or a rash, right? That’s why having a good oil-free moisturizer is important. But there are so many to choose from… how will you know which work, and which are a waste, without spending a small fortune? I can help. Here are my picks for the 10 best oil-free moisturizers, some with a tint, some without.

1 Kate Somerville Oil Free Moisturizer

If you have sensitive skin, don’t let that dissuade you from trying this oil-free moisturizer. It’s designed to fight the signs of aging while providing an oil-free matte finish, all without irritating your skin.

2 Stila Sheer Color Tinted Moistener Oil-Free SPF 20

Stila Sheer Color Tinted Moistener Oil-Free SPF 20Price: $34.00 at sephora.com
What if you could skip the entire foundation step? With this fab tinted moisturizer, available in ten natural-looking shades, that’s completely possible. It hydrates your skin, protects it from the sun’s harmful rays, and provides a hint of sheer color.

3 Philosophy on a Clear Day Oil-Free Moisturizer

Philosophy on a Clear Day Oil-Free MoisturizerPrice: $23.00 at sephora.com
I adore the entire Philosophy skin care line, but this oil-free moisturizer is one of my favorites. It’s specifically designed for acne-prone skin, formulated to treat and prevent blemishes.

4 Dr. Dennis Gross Trifix Oil-Free Hydrating Moisturizer

Dr. Dennis Gross Trifix Oil-Free Hydrating MoisturizerPrice: $35.00 at sephora.com
It’s difficult to find a moisturizer that actively fights blackheads, my own particular skin care issue. It also helps reduce redness and inflammation, and soothes your skin.

5 Bliss Steep Clean Mattifying Moisturizer

Bliss Steep Clean Mattifying MoisturizerPrice: $48.00 at sephora.com
Get your daily dose of antioxidants and a smooth, matte complexion at the same time… what more could a girl ask for? Add refined pores and a day’s worth of hydration, and you have this incredible oil-free moisturizer.

6 Clean Scene by Murad Begging for Balance Oil-Free Moisturizer

Clean Scene by Murad Begging for Balance Oil-Free MoisturizerPrice: $22.00 at sephora.com
Murad is another of my favorite skin care brands, and this oil-free moisturizer kicks butt, especially for the younger crowd. It’s made especially for combating teenaged breakouts, though it can be used by anyone, at any age.

7 Philosophy Hope in a Jar Oil-Free

Philosophy Hope in a Jar Oil-FreePrice: $38.00 at sephora.com
Hope in a Jar is my very favorite moisturizer, but in the summer, the thicker version makes me shiny. So I switch to the oil-free variety, and only shine on the inside! It works the same as the original, but without the oil.

8 Boscia Oil-Free Nightly Hydration

Boscia Oil-Free Nightly HydrationPrice: $36.00 at sephora.com
Want an oil-free moisturizer that works to keep you hydrated while you sleep? Then give this a go! It’s priced right, and because it’s made by Boscia, it really works… apply before bed, and wake up with gorgeous, glowing skin!

9 Clickr Day Brilliant Lotion with SPF 15

Clickr Day Brilliant Lotion with SPF 15Price: $40.00 at sephora.com
I love that this oil-free moisturizer isn’t tested on animals, and that it’s vegan-friendly. I also love that the key ingredients that soothe, protect, and moisturize your skin include diamond dust, silver, and gold. Of course, I also love that it works!

10 Korres Watermelon Lightweight Tinted Moisturiser SPF 30

Korres Watermelon Lightweight Tinted Moisturiser SPF 30Price: $28.00 at sephora.com
I’m a sucker for unique ingredients, and this oil free moisturizer by Korres contains something I’ve never seen in a skin care product before: watermelon extract. Apparently, it’s rich in antioxidants, which are great for skin because they help fight the signs of aging. This moisturizer is also tinted, in three shades, and it provides built-in broad-spectrum sun protection of SPF 30. And one more bragging point: it has the Sephora natural seal. Bonus!

With so many marvelous oil-free moisturizers to choose form, there’s no need to settle for shiny or deal with a dry spot again! I especially love the Philosophy and the Murad… but these are all effective and won’t cause a breakout! Have you used any of these oil-free moisturizers? Which did you like best?
