I recently added a charcoal based facial cleanser to my skincare routine and let me tell you that it’s awesome! You don’t have to go to a fancy store to find charcoal skincare either because it’s available on shelves in virtually every drugstore and supermarket in the country. There are so many good reasons why you should be using a charcoal skincare product and I think this list will easily convince you. Check it out!
I don’t have super oily skin, but it tends to shine more when the weather is hot outside. I was on vacation and totally battling the shine and I tried a charcoal cleanser and over the next week or two, the oil problem started to go away and now my face is looking a whole lot more matte and whole lot less shiny. Got the same problem? Try a charcoal cleanser and let me know how it works out for you.
Skincare researchers report that charcoal can help suck toxins from your skin, leaving it clean and healthy. Use charcoal infused products to help clean your skin and create a clean slate for your other products. You’ll be amazed at how much your skin looks and feels.
Do you get blackheads all the time? That’s no fun! It’s time to start using a charcoal scrub because it helps pull the icky stuff from your pores, leaving them clean and breakout free. After all, a blackhead is really just a pore full of crud, which is what gives it the black color.
Look for an exfoliator with charcoal and you get a super good cleanse and get rid of dead skin cells and dirt and debris hanging out on your skin. Talk about doing double duty, right? The charcoal sucks out the gross stuff and the oil in your skin, while the exfoliator smooths and softens your face. Perfect!
Here’s the great news about charcoal products – you don’t need much of it to get the job done. When I use my charcoal cleanser, I only use about a dime size amount and I’ve still started seeing results. You don’t need much charcoal for it to do its job, so don’t feel like you have to use a bunch of your chosen product. Start with a small amount and use just a tiny bit more if you think you need it.
Here’s something really cool – you can buy activated charcoal in powder form. Then you can apply it directly to your face, mixed with a bit of water to make a paste, to pump up the benefits you get from skincare products that contain charcoal. If you have super oily skin or you get a lot of blackheads, you might really benefit from using activated charcoal powder. Look for it at specialty stores or order it by the ounce online.
I am definitely on a budget when it comes to skincare. No $200 jars of creams and potions for me. Luckily, charcoal skincare products aren’t super pricey and you can get a really good cleanser for under $10 and the activated charcoal powder is only a couple of bucks per ounce (which will last for quite a while). You don’t have to be rich to get the benefits from charcoal. Awesome!
