Screw all of this. Make your own with sugar or salt, organic essential oils, and a carrier oil like coconut! You can even use coffee grounds with the sugar and make a coffee scrub great for your skin!! I love lemon scented scrubs with fresh lemon juice and even lip scrubs

I'm surprised this article doesn't list any chemical exfoliants (AHA/BHA). Physical scrubs that have either beads, grains, or shells can irritate the skin. Guess I'll have to do more research elsewhere.

I don't use anything with beads or shells. The clog the water systems. I like my gentle exfoliating brush and a gentle cleanser.
