Whether you are just trying to get rid of some breakouts you might be having or you're trying to prevent the breakouts, homemade exfoliators can help! So ladies, I've got the top 15 homemade exfoliators that will absolutely make a difference in how your skin feels!

1 Coffee, Lavender & Sugar Scrub

This is actually one of the homemade exfoliators that I use all of the time. The calming effects of lavender, the scrub of the coffee grounds and the sugar make this exfoliator one of the best out there! Seriously ladies, if you are looking for something to calm your blemish-filled skin, this is the homemade exfoliator for you!

2 Sugar & Olive Oil

Sugar and olive oil create one of the most popular homemade exfoliators out there! All you do is take some sugar, add in some olive oil and you got yourself an incredible, skin-softening scrub. The combination of the oil and sugar makes a fantastic softening agent that also will scrub away all of those dead cells.

3 Salt & Lemon

If you've been having a lot of problems with oily skin, don't worry, ladies! This is one of the homemade exfoliators that is made for oily skin! The lemon juice will wipe away all of that oil while the salt will scrub away everything else. Try it, ladies, it really works!

4 Strawberries & Honey

Honey has so many different uses in the skin care world and I gotta say, mixing it with a little sugar makes a fantastic scrub! This scrub will not only soften up your skin, but it will make it glow and look radiant.

8 Brown Sugar

Brown sugar is another homemade exfoliator that is sure to soften up your skin quickly. Now, you can either use a brown sugar paste (brown sugar and water) or just straight brown sugar. Either form will work wonders!

9 Sweet & Sour Scrub

I mentioned a salt and lemon scrub earlier, but why not sweeten things up a bit with sugar? You can use this fragrant scrub on your face and body. You'll need 1/2 of a fresh lemon, 1/2 a cup of granulated sugar, a tablespoon of olive oil and organic honey. Mix those ingredients together and store it in a plastic container. You can add or subtract the amount of olive oil depending on what you prefer, also.

10 Coconut Oil & Sugar

This is another super easy, 2-ingredient scrub that works wonders on skin. Take a tablespoon of coconut oil and melt it in the microwave for about 20 seconds. Next, add 3 tablespoons of white sugar, combine and scrub!

11 Tomato & Sugar

I'm on a roll with the sugar scrubs so I figured why not keep going? Grab yourself a tomato and a tablespoon of sugar. All you need to do is slice the tomato in half and dip the fleshy side in the sugar. Next, use the sugar-dipped tomato to rub on your face in circular motions. Leave the sugar and tomato on your face for about 10 minutes and rinse off.

12 Honey & Oatmeal

A honey and oatmeal exfoliator sounds good enough to eat and works great on skin. Grab a 1/4 cup of oatmeal, a 1/4 cup water and 2 teaspoons of honey. Throw the oatmeal in a blender or coffee grinder to to grind it. Next, add the water and honey and scrub those dead skin cells away.

13 Pumpkin Pie Scrub

Speaking of eating, this is another exfoliating scrub that sounds tasty! For this exfoliator you'll need 1 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 a cup of coconut oil, 1/2 tsp vitamin E oil and 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spices (or just 1/2 tsp cinnamon). Mix it together and you're ready for pretty, polished skin.

14 Sea Salt & Baby Oil

This is another easy peasy homemade exfoliator that your skin will love. All you need is a cup of coarse sea salt and a half cup of baby oil. Mix it together in a bowl and keep it covered for 24 hours. Once the 24 hours is up, give it a good stir and apply.

15 Papaya & Oat Scrub

Papayas might not be in season right now, but this is a good recipe to file away for later. Papayas make a superb scrub ingredient because they contain enzymes which are natural exfoliators. If you've ever over scrubbed your skin with something harsh, try using papaya or pineapple to do it naturally. For this exfoliator you'll need a half of a papaya, two tablespoons of oatmeal and a tablespoon of almond oil. Blend the papaya and oatmeal separately, then add the remainder of the ingredients, mix and apply. It's best to use this as soon as you make it and not store it.
