1. Banana

Banana Bananas are one fabulous fruit. Did you know that eating a banana when you’re on your period helps with cramps? It’s also one of the top foods for face masks because of its high content of vitamins A and E, so applying it to your face leaves skin feeling soft, smooth and nourished. If you have a ripe banana on hand, mash it up and apply it to your face for 10-20 minutes. Rinse off with cool water and enjoy your baby soft skin.

2. Avocado

Avocado I love eating avocados so it’s almost a shame to use them as a face mask, but I guess it’s okay to sacrifice a little bit! This creamy fruit is rich in vitamin A and antioxidants so it makes an ideal food for face masks. If you’d like to give this food mask a try, just mix a teaspoon of olive oil with half a ripe avocado. Apply the paste to your face and rinse off after 15 minutes. Your skin will feel softer, firmer and more radiant.

3. Honey

Honey Honey is one of those foods that are so useful in a variety of ways. Honey is often used to treat acne, moisturize dry skin, cleanse and heal burns and cuts. You can use honey alone for an antibacterial and moisturizing face mask or use it as a spot treatment for acne. If you like to take baths, you can also add 2 cups of honey to your bath water for a soothing soak.

4. Oatmeal

Oatmeal If you have dry or irritated skin, incorporating oatmeal into your skin care routine will be a game-changer! Oatmeal is very soothing, nourishing and acts as an anti-inflammatory, so it makes a perfect add-in for masks or baths. Oatmeal also makes a natural and gentle exfoliant, so it’s good for more than one use. Try grinding up some oats in a food processor, add some warm water or milk and apply it to your skin for about 10 minutes and rinse off.

5. Strawberries

Strawberries Strawberry is another fruit that offers a host of skin care benefits and beyond. You can use strawberries to help whiten your teeth, cleanse your skin, treat acne, fight dandruff and even treat pigmentation. Making a face mask with strawberries is easy. All you need to do is mash up some strawberries and apply it to your face. Your skin will be brighter, tighter and super soft.

6. Yogurt

Yogurt If you’re looking for a budget-friendly way to tighten up your pores, the solution is as close as your fridge. A yogurt mask is an easy and effective way to tighten up pores, cleanse and moisturize your skin, treat acne and reduce discoloration. Simply apply some plain yogurt to your face and rinse off after 10-15 minutes. Due to its high content of zinc and lactic acid, applying this cool and creamy concoction to your face makes for a beneficial treatment.

7. Olive Oil

Olive Oil We can’t forget olive oil when it comes to food masks. This healthy oil is great as an eye makeup remover, moisturizer, hair conditioner, skin regenerator and for treating sunburns. You can use olive oil like a facial oil or mix it with some mashed avocado, apply it to your face and rinse off after 20 minutes for a hydrating and nourishing facial mask.

Give some of these foods for face masks a try and let me know what you think! They’re a cheap and easy way to pamper yourself and your skin anytime you need some extra TLC. Have you ever tried any of these ingredients before?

nice article, I'll try the honey and oatmeal. there's no way I'm using banana!

my wife gave me banana face mask I must say it's very nice :)

I also recommend Manuka Honey, the best one!

Avocado and honey are two of my favorites to use in all types of things, from face masks to soap. Local honey straight from the hive makes it even better!

tried the avocado.. it's tingly for a few seconds but as soon as it dries up your skin is so soft and really clean

after how many minutes do you rinse off the strawberries???
