1. Know the Climate

Let’s get started on this these travel skin care tips by deciding what you’re going to pack.

Research the climate and weather forecast of where you’ll be traveling to beforehand to help you decide what to take along.

Will you be in dry or humid weather?

Prepare yourself for moisture loss, breakouts from humidity or strong winds.

If you’re traveling to drier weather, you want to replenish the moisture in your skin without weighing it down with heavy creams.

Go for serums and lightweight moisturizers.

If you’ll be in humid weather, exfoliate your skin to get rid of dead skin cells and use a cleanser with salicylic acid.

2. Get Packing

Now that you know what your skin will be up against, let’s get further into packing!2

If you’re flying, you’ll be even more limited on what you can take with you, but that doesn’t mean you’ll have to compromise on good skin care!

Think of your trip as a chance to give your skin a bit of a break from all the beauty and skin care products you normally use.

You might find that your skin does better without all the products!

Get down to the basics like cleanser, sunscreen and moisturizer.

I like to take face oil so I don’t have to take an extra eye cream.

3. Downsize

This travel skin care tip is probably the most obvious, but that doesn’t make it less important than the others!

No matter how far you’re going, you won’t be able to lug around your home supply of skin care products.

Look into finding sample or travel size versions of your favorite skin care items.

Only pack what matters because you’ll likely be able to get things like soap and lotion at your hotel, and you’ll have more room for your must-haves!
