1. Lavender Oil

Lavender is a great essential oil if you are someone who suffers a lot from irritated or inflamed skin. It has disinfectant qualities that can help with things like sunburn as well, not to mention the fact that it has massive calming effects and smells amazing to boot!

2. Lemongrass Oil

If you have oily skin, then lemongrass essential oil can be a really great thing to use on your face. The reason for this is that lemongrass is an astringent, which means that its chemicals can help to balance out the production of sebum in your skin, and sebum is the thing that produces the oil.

3. Frankincense Oil

You might know it best in a Biblical sense, but frankincense can be amazing for your skin! If you suffer from the irritating combination of having both oily and dry skin, then frankincense can do the job of restoring dry damage whilst also balancing out the oil production. Some people have even found that frankincense can help to reduce the appearance of things like dark spots and scars.

4. Rose Otto Oil

If looking younger and fresher is your main concern, then rose otto oil is the thing for you. It is what you get when you distill the steam from newly bloomed roses, and it is really effective in treating things like dry, prematurely old looking skin. It works by promoting the turnover of old skin cells.
