Natural Ways to Get Rid of Blackheads ...

There are lots of natural ways to get rid of blackheads. If you took a poll amongst us girls asking which skincare issue was the one that caused them the most irritation and frustration, you can be almost certain that the answer that came on top would be blackheads. Blackheads are one of the worst and most annoying skincare problems to have, especially if you are unlucky enough to have most of your pores affected by them. Unlike regular pimples, they are much tougher to get rid of with traditional ‘popping’ methods, and when you add the factor that your skin can look even worse after you have tried, it can be really bad for your self-confidence! Don’t fear, though, help is on the way! Here are some natural ways to get rid of blackheads.

Steam

Steam is definitely one of the best natural ways to get rid of blackheads. If you don’t want to add anything to your skin at all, then you can always see what benefits steaming has. Letting your face steam over a hot bowl of water for a good five minutes is one way to both prevent the appearance of new blackheads and also get rid of old ones. Remember to rinse your face with cold water afterward to close those pores back up.

Egg White Mask

Another effective mask is an egg white mask. It might not look or feel as nice as some other masks, but it’s simple to put together at home and it can have great results! Apply three or four thin layers, making sure each is dry before starting the next, and then rinse with warm water. Remember to moisturise to finish it off.

Cinnamon and Honey Strips

Honey is something that has been used in beauty for as long as people have been concerned with their skin! Combined together with cinnamon in a handy strip form, this duo helps to increase blood flow and also has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that can be super effective against patches of skin that are prone to acne breakouts.

4

Sugar Scrub

A homemade sugar scrub can be fantastic for really getting into your pores and getting out all of that blackhead mess. Combine sugar and any type of oil you might have lying around (we tend to prefer coconut), and massage the mixture into your skin. It will feel great and smell amazing too!

5

Baking Soda

Baking soda is an underrated beauty ingredient. It can be used as a mild exfoliant to really get down into deep pores and give them a good clean. Combine it with water to make a paste that you can then apply to your skin. Gently massage into the affected areas and rinse with warm water.

Clay Masks

Clay masks of many different varieties are great for treating blackheads. Not only do they work to clear your clogged pores, but they also help to improve circulation, which will make a change in the overall health and look of your skin. Don’t overdo it though because there is a risk of drying out your face. Once a week is about the right amount for clay mask application.
