Where Should You Consider anti-Aging Fillers?

As we all get older, it’s easy to get down about the lines and wrinkles that start to show up on our faces. There are lots of ways to battle this issue, including lotions, creams, potions and fillers from your dermatologist. There are many to choose from and there are some that are better in certain areas and some that work better in others. Of course, your best bet is to see your dermatologist to determine which ones are best for you. In the meantime, have a quick read through here and you may have a better idea of what you want and need. All info is courtesy of the experts at Family Circle magazine.

1 For Your Forehead

Many women report pesky lines on their foreheads as a result of furrowing the brow (like when the kids get in trouble). However they got there, chances are you want them gone. Experts say that you need a neuromodulator in this area because they work by freezing the cells in your skin, helping prevent those dreaded lines from being so obvious. You’ve probably heard of Botox, but you can also try Xeomin or Dysport.

Frequently asked questions

2 Plump up Your Cheeks

Voluma is your best choice for adding volume back to your cheeks and making them plump and healthy looking. It’s basically a filler that is primarily made from hyaluronic acid, which works to smooth the surface of your skin by filling it up and out, but in a good way.

3 Keep Laughing, but without the Lines

Don’t be afraid to laugh because it can create lines on your face. What a sad life it would be if you never laughed! Both Restylane and Juvederm are approved for filling them in and smoothing them out. These two fillers help fill in the creases that happen around your mouth and make them less prominent.

4 Makeover Your Undereye Area

Here’s an area that I struggle with. I don’t want to see those fine lines and wrinkles and sometimes I get desperate enough that I’ll try anything to get rid of them. You can get a filler without going to overboard. Like the folds that can form on your laugh lines, Restylane and Juvederm can help fill in those undereye lines for a smoother and younger look. They keep the area from looking sunken and that helps erase the wrinkles.

5 Get Rid of Crow’s Feet Too

While you’re having your undereye area tended to, think about getting some Botox on your crow’s feet. These are the wrinkles that can really age you, though some women wear them very well. Botox will help fill those lines in and take years off your face.

6 Smooth the Area between Your Brows

I hate the lines that have formed between my brows as I get older. A really great anti-wrinkle night cream has been my saving grace, but I won’t necessarily be against a little bit of filler when I get older. For this area, experts recommend Botox since the skin is so thin and delicate and you want to freeze the cells so the lines can’t get worse.

7 Rejuvenate Your Jawline

A sagging jawline is part and parcel as you get older, but that doesn’t mean you can’t fight back. This area responds well to Restylene or Juvederm, both of which help boost elasticity for firmer, tighter skin all along your jaw.

Have you ever had a filler? What advice can you share?
