1. What is Konjac Made out of?

Before using any kind of skin product on your face, it’s a good idea to know what it’s made of first. You read the ingredients label on lotions and creams, right? A konjac sponge is made from a root vegetable that is ultra porous. It’s feels squishy and has components that make it perfect for giving your face the best kind of clean.

2. Konjac is Perfect for Daily Exfoliating

You’ve probably heard that you need to exfoliate your skin regularly to remove dead skin cells and product build up. However, many ladies worry about how harsh exfoliators are on their skin. Worry no more! A konjac sponge may just be the answer you’ve been looking for. They are super gentle and can be used every single day, even in sensitive skin.

3. Use Konjac to Remove Makeup at the End of the Day

When you use a konjac sponge with soap and warm water, it helps remove your makeup. Even the mascara that you have trouble washing off with your makeup remover will come right off! Simply rub the sponge over your face and you’ll see all traces of eyeshadow, liner and blush going down the drain. Perfect!

4. Regular Use Can Give You the Most Radiant Skin Ever

Because konjac is so good at exfoliating your skin, it’s perfect for getting that radiance we all crave. The trick is to use your konjac on a regular basis. It won’t do you any good if you only use it once in a while. Make it part of your daily routine and it won’t be long before you start seeing the skin you were meant to have.

5. Konjac Cleans on Its Own

While you certainly can use a konjac sponge with soap and water, you can also use it on its own and still get a radiant cleanness on your face. Experts on the topic say that konjac has deep cleaning properties so you can count on it to give you a squeaky clean face each and every time you use it.

6. Konjac Sponges Don’t Last Forever

Unlike some items, konjac sponges won’t be effective forever. They often claim to be antibacterial, but skincare experts caution against using them for prolonged periods of time. They are hard to clean and over time can begin to harbor nasty bacteria and germs. Trade yours for a new one every month or so.

7. If You Have Acne, Konjac Won’t Have Any Benefits for It

For all the things that a konjac sponge can do, there is one thing that it cannot. Experts say that konjac won’t heal acne so you may have to combine it with other methods of treating your pimples. Try using your konjac sponge to apply your anti-acne cleanser and you can reap the benefits of both items at the same time.

Have you ever tried using a konjac sponge? What other advice can you share?

Cotton flannel + cleanser + warm water = just as effective and cheaper.

Same here.. i wonder if Amazon does em!

Yes i use it because i have rosacea. Its helpful

Interesting. If they're in a decent price range I want to try it!

They're usually around 6-15 dollars depending where you get them. I've had one before and it's very nice, and feels really cool when you use it. However I would really get it again because it never fully dries between uses, so it's always damp. Which can harvest toooooons of bacteria. So you have to replace it pretty often if you don't want to run that risk.
