1

Drink Water

You’ve heard it tons of times before, right? Your body is made up of a large amount of water and skimping on it can have some icky consequences. According to dermatology experts, water is essential for hydrated, young and fresh skin. How much you need is dependent on several factors, including where you live, health conditions and how much you exercise. The best rule of thumb is to sip water throughout the day. If you urine is pale yellow or clear, you’re getting enough.

2

Eat Some Spinach

Spinach is loaded up with vitamins A and C, both of which your skin needs to look healthy. In addition, spinach contains beta-carotene, which your body converts to vitamin A. Spinach is a powerful tool for fighting dull skin. Add it to salads or pile it on a sandwich and you’ll see just how delicious it really is.

3

Clean Daily

Experts in skincare have long warned people that they must wash their face each night before going to bed. Sleeping with your make-up on is bad enough, but your skin is littered with germs, bacteria and environmental junk by the end of the day. Washing it off keeps your skin healthy and prevents breakouts. It only takes a couple of minutes and is totally worth it.

4

Wear Your SPF

It’s been said a million times, but it bears saying it again. Do not, under any circumstances go without your sunscreen every single day. The sun’s rays penetrate your skin. Apply SPF under your make-up every morning. If you plan to be outdoors for extended amounts of time, make sure you reapply every couple of hours.

5

Go to Sleep

Stop spending all that extra time cruising Pinterest or trying to watch the news. Just forget it and go to bed. This is important for your skin because multiple research studies have shown that getting enough rest helps keep your skin glowing and radiant. Experts recommend getting at least seven hours each night. Once you see the skin benefits, you’ll want to hit the hay on time every night.

6

Laugh

When you laugh, it floods your body with endorphins, which are feel good chemicals that can make even the worst day better. Laughing also boosts blood flow, giving you that healthy glow you want and crave. Watch a funny movie or listen to your silly kid’s anecdotes and you’ll be chuckling before you know it.

7

Keep It up

It’s not good enough to do these things only once in a while. To get the best skin benefits, you must do them every day. I know it can be hard at first, but once you get into the habit of each of these steps, it will be like second nature to you.

How many of these things do you do every day? I try to do them all. I think you’ll like the results you see. Do you have any other complexion perfection tips to share?
