Moisturizing is especially important during the colder months, but it’s also essential to keep skin moist throughout the year to reduce redness and heal itchy, dry patches of skin. Always look for thick creams or lotions that are fragrance free.

This psoriasis treatment tip is a great way to relax and pamper yourself! Oatmeal baths are another great bath way to soothe irritated skin as well. Using a humidifier is also great for dry eyes, plus it helps alleviate cold and flu symptoms and prevents dry lips.

Get Some Sun

Getting outdoors for fresh air and sun does a lot more than just help refresh you; it’s also a super cheap and easy way to treat psoriasis! WebMD suggests applying sunscreen to all unaffected areas and then soaking up the sun. Start out small and spend about 10 minutes outside, then work your way up to 20-30 minutes. Careful not to overdo it or you could cause skin damage, and always talk to your doctor before you start as some meds can interact with sunlight!

Go for a Dip

Apple cider vinegar is quite the versatile solution and it’s also known to help treat symptoms of psoriasis. You can use it as a dip to treat psoriasis on finger and toe nails or apply it on a cotton ball to affected patches of skin. You can also make an ACV compress by mixing 1 cup of ACV with 1 gallon of water, soaking a cloth and applying it to your skin.
