I'm here to share some simple tips for perfect skin. Everyone at some point in their lives has skin problems. Dryness, discoloration, zits. Everyday problems that even if they seem small can really mess with your confidence. Perfect skin might seem like a distant dream but who can blame you for trying. These simple tips for perfect skin can help.
1. Clean Hands
This is one of the best simple tips for perfect skin. Before you start washing your face make sure that your hands are perfectly clean. Otherwise whatever substances you might have on your hands will transfer to your face, making the condition of your skin there worse. First, wash your hands and make sure they are perfectly clean before you even think of getting them close to your face. Make sure you use a clean towel to dry off as well.
2. No Smoking
This is pretty much known to everyone. Smoking alters your skin tone, boosts the flaccidity and creates wrinkles around your mouth. Thankfully, it’s never too late to quit smoking. Your skin will start showing signs of improvement within one and a half months after you quit.
Whether it is winter or summer, a good sunscreen is never wasted. Longtime exposure to the sun without the protection of sunscreen can cause discoloration, aging, not to mention skin cancer. Never go out in the sun if you haven’t applied a good sunscreen to your skin and if it is possible make sure to avoid walking out in the sun during dangerous hours. Also if you sunbathe make sure to stay for only brief periods of time.
Water has many benefits to your overall health and your skin is not an exception. Water is essential for helping keep the moisture in your skin, prevents aging and boosts your skin’s elasticity. Make sure to drink as much water as you can. Ideally, eight glasses of water every day.
Hands off your zits. It is a temptation. For some reason, people enjoy bothering their zits, but you shouldn’t. Not only can it leave marks later but it can also make them worse and there is the possibility they can get infected. So make sure to wash your face to avoid their appearance and if they happen to appear keep your hands away.
A good night’s sleep can make your skin shine. Most people agree about the eight hours of sleep daily although it is a little difficult to achieve that many hours. Try to sleep as much as you can. When you are sleeping your skin takes the opportunity to heal the “damage” it sustained during the day. Sleeping also boosts better blood circulation in your skin and that way you can avoid discolorations.
You are what you eat. There are certain foods that can help make your skin look brighter and smoother. Add cherries, apples, pineapples and melons to your nutrition. They help your skin to eliminate toxins and that gives your skin a healthier, youthful appearance. Not to mention they have other benefits for your health as well.
8. Choose the Right Products
Each type of skin is different. Some people have dry skin, others have oily skin. Make sure to use the correct products for your skin type. Ask your dermatologist to recommend products that will be perfect for you and also don’t forget to change them between seasons. Your skin has different needs during the winter than during the summer.
Make sure to exfoliate your skin at least twice a week but be careful. Don’t overdo it because then your skin will get really dry and irritated. Try it twice a week and if you still see signs of extreme dryness and irritation, do an exfoliation only once a week.
This is one of the golden rules for healthy and beautiful skin. Never go to sleep with your makeup on. The minute you step into the house the makeup should come off. Your skin needs a break. It needs to rest and breathe.
