Fortunately, there are lots of ways to do just that. And some of them are probably ones you’ve never heard of or tried before. 2. When You Shop for Skincare Products, Look for Non-Comedogenic Ones
The term, “non-comedogenic” means that the product is designed to not clog pores. You can find skincare products, such as cleansers and lotions, as well as cosmetics and facial masks that fall into this category. Because these products are specially formulated not to cause breakouts, you are probably going to notice a healthy change to your skin in just a few weeks.
3. Wash Your Pillowcase Once a Week in Hot Water

I’m totally guilty of this too! The more you touch your skin, the more likely that you’ll transfer germs, bacteria and other icky stuff that will clog pores. When the urge to touch comes on, distract yourself by calling a friend, playing some Candy Crush on your phone or painting your nails. This also means you shouldn’t be popping pimples!
6. Switch to a Dye-Free Laundry Detergent That Contains Natural Ingredients
You might be wondering how your laundry soap could be causing breakouts, but it can. If you see acne on your chest or back, it could be caused by the ingredients in your laundry soap. Likewise, when you wipe your face dry with a towel, the soap can clog pores. Because a traditional wash cycle might not wash away all the residue, you might need to try a dye-free, fragrance-free version that is more natural. I made the switch and am loving the results!
7. Focus on Eating Lots of Foods from Each Food Group
This includes lean protein, vegetables, fruits, low-fat dairy foods and whole grains. Each of these groups of foods contains nutrients that your skin relies on to stay clear and healthy. By eating plenty of variety you ensure that you are getting adequate amounts of each one. So load your plate with different foods all the time and your skin will definitely thank you.
