1

Clearasil Daily Clear Vanishing Acne Treatment Cream

This is by far one of my favorite OTC acne treatments. It has prescription strength medication (10% benzoyl peroxide) which helps terminate the acne-causing bacteria in your skin. I personally like to apply it on the affected areas of my face right before I go to bed. However, if you have very sensitive skin, I would suggest applying this cream sparingly as it can cause dryness, irritation, or peeling.

Dr. Bronner’s 18-in-1 Hemp Tea Tree Pure-Castile Soap

I’ve recently discovered this magical soap that is natural and highly effective at cleansing your skin. An added bonus: tea tree oil has anti-bacterial properties that help kill acne-causing bacteria. It may seem a bit terrifying to use a product that can also be used to wash floors, windows, brush your teeth, etc. (hence the 18-in-1), but this stuff is definitely gentle enough to use as a daily face wash.

3

Retin-a Acne Cream

The key ingredient in Retin-A is tretinoin, which helps reduce skin cells binding together, in turn reducing the formation of acne. Not to mention the gorgeous former Bachelorette Emily Maynard swears by this product, which is a good a reason to try it, right?

4

Neutrogena Complete Acne Therapy System

This 3 step system worked wonders for my skin. The kit includes a skin polishing cleanser, moisturizing lotion, and spot treatment. The cleanser is great because it has salicylic acid (a proven acne medication) and super-fine exfoliators that leave your skin feeling incredibly soft without being too abrasive. The lotion is oil free (a must) and has SPF 15 which is key when using products with acne medication, since when combined with sunlight, those medications can further irritate your skin. Finish off with the spot treatment that acts as an awesome weapon against those pesky pimples.

5

AcneFree All Day Acne Control Leave-on Foam

This product is super-light which makes it ideal for applying underneath makeup. It also goes on extremely easily and is ideal for large areas such as your back or chest. What's more, this product continues to work for 12 hours, so you can take the day head-on knowing you have an army hard at work on your skin.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash

This wash has been around for quite some time which just goes to show how well it works. It’s the #1 Dermatologist recommended acne wash, and gets your skin feeling squeaky clean and smooth.

7

AcneFree Terminator 10 Acne Spot Treatment

Very similar to the Clearasil Daily Clear Vanishing Cream, this product has 10% benzoyl peroxide and does an amazing job at zapping zits. It’s definitely deserving of the name Terminator since it visibly reduces the size of pimples overnight. Bye-bye bad skin!

Because most all of these products contain one or more acne medications, it’s always a good idea to check with your doctor first in case you have any concerns about using them. Clear skin is definitely a beauty staple, so hopefully these products will help you to get that beautiful skin like butta! Do you know of any acne products that help get rid of acne? I’d love to hear about them!

Retin-A? It's not over the counter. Or are you talking about a specific brand? If so, which one and where can you get it from?
