If you have a busy schedule and school or work every week, then it can sometimes be a big consideration trying to figure out when that best times to have a shower are! You don’t want to do it too often, and you also don’t want to go too far in between washes, so what actually is the perfect bathing routine to keep to from day to day? Here is how often you should shower according to science.

1 Activity Level
If you work out every single day and come out sweating like a pig, then obviously a quick shower is the best option. However, if your activity level isn’t quite as heavy duty as that, you can substitute a daily shower with lots of different on the go products. Every other day for a full shower would be totally acceptable.
2 Skin Type
Another factor to consider is your own skin type. If you have overly oily skin, then you are best sticking to a daily shower. However, if you have dry or sensitive skin, the harshness of hot water every single day could do more harm than good. If that is your case, always make sure to apply moisturiser to your body after showering.
You also need to think about your environment, the kind of weather and climate that you experience regularly. If you live in a colder climate, you can get away with showering less. Over-showering in a super dry climate might prove to dry your skin out even more. Conversely, hot and humid climates lead to you sweating more and more, which obviously requires showering in order to get rid of toxins and bacteria that have appeared on your skin.
