Much like sugar, refined grains can cause a spike in insulin levels, leading to breakouts. Not to mention that they aren’t all that healthy either. A much better bet is to fill your plate with whole grains instead. Sub out white bread and pasta for their whole wheat counterparts and have the brown rice instead of the white.
