7 Baby Products That Are Perfect for Your Skin Too ...

By Eliza

Anyone who has a little one knows how quickly the cost of baby products can add up. As a mom to three, I’ve devoted much of the last decade to finding ways I can save money without skimping on what I need or what the kids need. That’s why I’m here to tell you that you can just go ahead and use your baby’s stuff on yourself too. It’s designed for thin, sensitive skin, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be great on your body too. Check out these baby products that are totally effective for moms too and you’ll be thanking me for years to come. You’re welcome.

Lotion

Lotion If you don’t mind smelling like baby powder, lotion is one of the baby products you can totally use. Many of them are made with ingredients that are easy on the skin, which is a perk for you in addition to being perfect for your baby. Not only does it smell great, but baby lotion does a wonderful job of keeping your skin moisturized and youthful. What mom could ask for more?

Baby Wipes

Baby Wipes My kids are long past their diaper years, but I will never stop buying baby wipes. They’re perfect for quickly wiping up small spills, but they’re easy on your skin too. Use baby wipes to take your make-up off at the end of the day or to gently wipe your dirty hands when you can’t get to a sink with soap and water. You can also use them to wipe your little one’s hands and face after eating out! I keep a pack in my car just in case I spill my soda on my arm or I have to put oil in my car. They do the job, but won’t leave your skin dry and itchy.

Soap

Soap Why not clear some space in your tub and shower and just use one bottle of body wash for everyone? The ones made for babies are often easier on the skin and smell so good you won’t be able to pass them up. Plus, many are free of harmful chemicals and dyes that aren’t good for your skin or your health. I love the lavender scented ones because they don’t smell like the nursery, but their subtle scent is one you’ll probably get compliments on.

4

Baby Oil

Baby Oil I never used baby oil on my kids, but if you have it around the house for your little ones, it works great on your own skin too. Some moms rave about it as a moisturizer after taking a bath or shower. It also works great for removing your make-up before bed. Its affordable price means you won’t even have to worry about restocking.

5

Baby Powder

Baby Powder If baby powder is something you have and love, you can use it for so much more than powdering your baby’s tush. It works great to absorb odor and moisture in your favorite shoes. You can also use just a dab to set your make-up and it works great for soaking up oil in your hair and on your scalp until you get a chance to shampoo.

Shampoo

Shampoo Like baby soap, many types of infant shampoos are free of harmful chemicals and dyes that are present in adult versions. If you want to keep your baby away from them, perhaps you can just use your little one’s shampoo. You’ll have more room in the shower, but you can be sure that your protecting your health as well as your baby’s.

Diaper Rash Cream

Diaper Rash Cream I know – it sounds crazy right? Well, it turns out that diaper rash cream can help if you suffer from certain skin conditions like eczema or acne. You’ll need to opt for products that contain calendula or aloe vera as they provide the most benefits. Use it as you would lotion now and then.

Do you use your baby’s products? Which ones are your favorite?

Baby oil, also known as mineral oil, will clog your pores which leads to acne if used on face.

I use almost all of these, except for the wipes... I have nice skin, but I do use other products that I have been using for years, obviously different things work for different ppl.

Oh baby mama can use too

I hv a dry eyes problem & the doc recommended i use baby shampoo for a lil massage on my eyelids to reduce bacteria buildup .. It really helps since the shampoo is no-tears

I use baby shampoo. Works great and is gentle on my naturally curly hair...

i love using baby lotion on my skin, it makes it so soft

Please avoid using baby wipes on your face, it's harmful to the skin as they are to harsh for the face, they are made for one area only, but because of the moisture can cause nappy rash. Also do not use baby oil as it is produced for babies because they have not developed pores to secrete sweat and sebum which moisturises skin #beautytherapist

Please, please don't use baby wipes on your face!! There are less than a handful of different ingredients between baby wipes & floor wipes. A baby's bottom is sensitive but tougher than the skin on your face.

I don't have a baby but I think I may just go out and buy all these things for myself haha. I'm trying the no shampoo thing entirely but I may just go to baby shampoo instead
