In other words : how to irritate your skin like a mofo. 90% of the ingredients on this list should never be used on your skin. Especially your face. Lemon can cause burns, and half the ingredients can cause micro tears and damage your skin so much. Stick to researched products.

@alyx just a quick comment. Dermatologists are obviously going to go against natural remedies to promote their own products.

Tumeric is a known skin irritate. Same with honey. People can break out in huge allergic reaction even if they aren't allergic. And only manuka honey is good for skin. Store bought processed honey is like using a McDonald's wrapper to exfoliate. Might get the job done but does more harm than good. Lemon should never ever be used on the skin, especially the face. It can cause a photo toxic reaction and cause huge chemical burns. Especially if exposed to the sun in any amount within 7 days of washing it off. Yes. It's been used for ages, but they've also been debunked by dermatologists. And those people using these recipes on their skin, if they ever put a microscope against it and took a look, it would be so damaged beyond repair. I study skincare, and am planning on becoming a chemist for a skincare line. Please don't put this stuff on your skin. It's horrible.

Awsome thank you

There is nothing wrong with the ingredients, most of the ingredients mentioned have been used in Ayurveda for ages. Plain concentrated lemon juice should not be applied but mixing it with honey is not harmful.

@ashley dermatologists don't make any products. If they only promote the products they provide, then they should have their license taken away. And I'm not talking about the ones that you can go see. I'm talking about ones in labs doing testing.

Oh please @Alyx, turmeric doesn't cause any tears in your skin. If you're allergic to honey then yes, your skin will be inflammed. Anout the ground up ashes, i call that "study" BS. Wanna know why? It's called "kajal" or "kohl", it's been used to treat eye infections by many people for many centuries. And funny thing is i personally know close to hundred of girls who wear it everyday and none of them have gone blind. FYI, i thing most of the dermatologist are nothing but scaremongering monkeys. My experience with anti-biotics & dermatologist has taught me that it's best to go natural rather than go crazy trying different products every time you don't get an expected result. And yes, most people who have had better results with natural remedies than derm prescribed ones, have noticed that dermatologist are very vehement about not using natural products. Few years ago, science also used to say that applying oil on your skin is a big no-no. Funny how that changed. A scientific theory is only fact until another research proves it wrong.

Nice thanks

Fun! I'll try some of these!

Alyx! Ease up a bit!
